the first thing your going to want to do is start with a gray base,I use equal parts white and black to make mine and adjust accordingly.
Once the gray base is down find yourself a half of a clothes pin or popsicle stick,lean the edge of the pin against the edge of the cap of the airbrush,using white spray off to the side to get the pattern you want,the angle of the stick will determine the amout and size of the speckle effect your going to want. Remember less is more.
Then do the same using the black mixture,if you wish you can add some color as well as the black. Again remember less is more.
Once you have the look you want give it some depth by determing a light source and add some drop shadowing to what would be the undersides and some highlight the the areas where there would be light hitting it.
Finally unmask your granite and see how great it looks,add some crack lines at certain points to give it added effect.
